I'm done this story. Look for more coming up soon. Sorry for the garbled things, I don't know why they are there but sorry again.
In the pale moon glow,
It flies into the windows of the soul.
Letting the soul dance with glee,
As it is gradually set free.

Once upon a time, there was a great dragon that was trapped in a dungeon by an evil king that didn’t care. The dragon was golden and had an iridescent glow to it. It was lured in by trickery and it was held for many a year. The princess was also a mean girl, being snobbish and bossy, taking mostly after the king. The queen was a different story. She cleaned the dragon’s wounds caused by the soldiers that held it by spearpoint, she loved it for all it was worth and the dragon loved her back. One day, the princess, who was named Calista, went down to ridicule the dragon and to chuck stones at it. She hated the dragon so much that she couldn’t understand why. Once she got down to the dungeon, she saw her mother. Calista hid and watched her mother. The queen was washing the lesions given to the poor beast by soldiers because it was trying to escape. Calista remembered her father giving the orders to kill it as soon as it tried to escape. The queen had a mythological name of Artemis. Artemis snuck out of the room as her husband gave the orders. So this is where my mother has been hiding, out with the dragon, Calista thought. Down with the dirty beast, I wonder why. She snapped back to reality as a soft, majestic voice whispered something. Artemis replied with, “Yes, I’d condemn it if I were him. Why were the gods so mean to you?” Calista peered through the cloths hanging on the doorway. The dragon was talking! As Calista’s mother cleaned the wounds, she talked to the dragon. “How odd,” Calista whispered, “to talk to a dragon. What doth it say?” She listened even closer and crept even closer to the conversing two. “Oh Serena, you know how it happened. I shouldn’t have loved you. We both knew that it would get us into trouble.” The noble voice said with a touch of disapproval and sadness. Artemis replied, “Yes, but how did I know that the kingdom was at stake again? Knowing that we both had the chance to comply and destroy the enemies together, hand in hand?” Calista had a peculiar look on her face. What was wrong with the kingdom? What was she talking about and why did the dragon speak of her mother as Serena? Her head pounded with pain. I’m getting these headaches again, Calista droned through her head. The two continued talking without noticing Calista listening in with fearful eyes.

“Why must you run again? Don’t I love you enough?” “Why must you keep asking questions? I’m tired. I must go to bed.” Calista hated this. Almost every night since the dragon came, her parents fought about every single thing. It scared her to think that the kingdom might be broken up and her riches gone, her to be an orphan. She started to whimper for quiet. She quieted when her parents shouted so loud that her maid, Jeanne, came in and held Calista. They both heard a slap and her mother crying for help. Her father ranted and cursed. “I think he’s drunk again,” Jeanne said. “I believe so, Jeanne, and I want to run from this. Could you please come with me to see….” The whole household heard a bloodcurdling scream and more crying pursued. “I’m scared. Let’s go look,” Calista murmured. They went downstairs and peered through the doorway. The king was threatening Artemis with a butcher’s knife and ranting, “I know you’ve been conspiring with the stupid dragon! Why are you bringing the kingdom down on its knees? Why art thou?” Artemis howled, “ You don’t understand! You will never understand you big clown! I brought you to the throne, never you me! I never loved you!” “You shalt be eaten by the devil, and executed in a fortnight!” the king bellowed. The queen ran in tears up to her lady-in-waiting’s room. Calista’s heart pounded against her chest. “Oh my god. What has happened?” Jeanne whispered, “If I were you, I’d go with your mother.”

“Talk to me, you stupid dragon! What have you been doing with my mother?” Calista shrilled to the menacing dragon. It looked on with a dull look, not answering or not wanting to talk to this stupid human. Why does she want to talk to me now, the dragon thought, since she has always despised me? “C’mon dragon, please,” Calista started to sob, “she’s going to die because of you. We have to go! She’s executed in a fortnight and you’re toast!”
“Fine, young mortal. I’ll tell you the tale of love that still is. Your mother and I were once, and still are, in love. We were so happy and joyful.”

“Serena, stop being so crazy. You know how it hurts after you get hurt.” I said.
“Oh, my love. We have got all the time in the world, I mean, well, you know what I mean.” Serena exclaimed. She’s usually so calm and serene, especially after we’ve been dining with company. “Sweetheart, you’ve got to calm down. The gods won’t be happy that you’ve been goofing off instead of studying.” I scolded, not meaning to. Serena backed off and sighed, “When was the last time that we actually played like we did when we were children? Long time ago. Way before we thought about ourselves this way.” I thought, it was, but we’re older than children are. “We’ve got to go inside, your parents will get upset. They will blame me as always.” “It’s not mother, it’s always father. He blames everything on me because I’m not the perfect child.” I hugged her as tight as I could without hurting her. I smelled her hair and whispered in her ear, “You’re perfect to me. Everything any could have asked for. We’re getting married soon and I don’t want the engagement to enrage your father anymore than it is.” She snuggled up to me and rubbed my back in a loving manner. “Oh, how I am glad to met a person like you.” She then looked up at me and sustained eye contact. She seriously said, “What are we going to do, Endymion, when I am queen? What are you going to do?” I let go of her thin figure and smiled. I lifted her chin and said, “I will stay by your side, no matter what.” She kissed me gently and softly uttered, “Let’s go inside. Mother’s got something to say to me and Father has something to say to you.”

Calista had wide-opened eyes. “That’s my mother you’re speaking of? You were a human?” The dragon nodded and mouthed, “There’s more….”

“Serena came out of her mother’s bedroom and had flushed cheeks. I was spoken to by her father. He just didn’t want us to get rowdy before the wedding and what he expected of me. She spurred out of her mouth, her pink, glossy lips, run-together words, “Mom-doesn’t-want-us-to-get-rowdy-and-not-to-have-unprotected-nasty.” She giggled, but she still looked flushed. I gave her a “you ok?” look. She gave a weak smile and then headed to bed. I went back to Earth, because, you see, her parents were the Moon’s monarchy. I was a simple shepherd that the princess courted.

The next day, she seemed better. When she first came out, I gaped at how she looked. She was the sheer image of beauty. A baby blue figure-fitting dress complimented her blonde hair. “I’m seeing friends today. Come back later. Rae, Mina, Lita and Amy are coming over.” That meant that they were going to gossip about guys and everything else a girl would talk about. I waved good-bye. When I came back, her friends were leaving and giggling. She invited me in and whispered, “want to go out of town tonight. Mother and Father aren’t around. They are at a meeting and won’t get back for two days.” I looked at her oddly. Maybe tonight was the night. We left and went to Earth. We checked into a hotel and went directly to the bedroom. She got an eerie look to her eyes and went into the bathroom. I waited to see what she was up to. When she opened the door, she was wearing a bra and panties under a transparent nightgown. Her hair was down and she was in the light of the street lamps. Rain was pouring outside. For a moment, I thought she was an angel. She crept to me and started to take off my clothes. We got into the bed and made love. I was kissing her silk-like body everywhere and then……”

“Whoa! More information than I needed to know!” Calista shivered. “Ewwww!!!”
“Sorry, but that’s what happened.” “What’s the deal about turning into a dragon?” The dragon thought for a minute, but go a sad face on as he opened his mouth. “When I made love to your mother, it was violating a law that interplanetary civilians couldn’t do the nasty. So her father found out and I was sentenced to become a dragon for eternity. And also, the gods acted upon me that no Earth person shall intermarry with a Moon maiden.” Calista shook her head and said, “That’s horrible. So you couldn’t marry my mother anymore?” “That’s about it.” The dragon had tears running down its glistening face. “Your mother killed herself because we loved each other and we never saw each other until now. She wanted the memories she lost back and that’s why she has been visiting me so often.” Calista was crying, “I can’t believe how nasty I’ve been to you. If I knew before!” Her mother appeared then. They looked at her and Endymion looked at her then and saw her as what she was on the moon. “Serena, my Serena. We must run. You’re daughter alerted me of what has been charged of you. We must go back to the moon.” Calista thought, How are we to go to the moon, when our heads will run out of air? “Um…mother? How are we going to get there and how are we going to breathe?” Artemis smiled and muttered, “Don’t fret. You’ll be fine.”

The scenery is gorgeous from up here, Artemis thought, just like old times. They were relaxing after the long trip from escaping the castle to finally soaring with the stars and landing on the Moon’s cratered face. “Mom, dragon, what happened after you did the nasty?” The dragon looked at Artemis with a gleeful glitter in his eyes, then said…

“Whew! We must have been at it for an hour or so!” I stroked Serena’s arms as I spoke. She was sweaty and tired. “Uh-huh. Amazing what the human body can do.” I looked down at her amazing body and whistled softly. I grabbed my bathrobe and got out of the bed. I stretched and looked out the window at the pouring rain, still going at it. Made me wonder what is in store of our future, our lives ahead. Serena held me from behind and whispered to my back, “Taking a quick shower. Be right back.” She kissed the nape of my neck and then left for the bathroom. I sat back down and pondered, a glazed look on my face. Spaced out from all the fun we have had. Better than what we had from childhood. Her hair was still wet from the shower when she got out. She sat next to me and held my hand as she leaned against me in silence, a smile plastered on her face. I looked over and gave her a light kiss on the forehead. It seemed unusually warm. “Are you alright?” I asked with a worried tone. “Not really, my head hurts.” I felt it again and a bright light came from my palm. I lifted my hand and a bright yellow moon was shining on her forehead. I jumped back and I told her. “Aw, crap! Let me check.” She ran to the bathroom and gave a loud groan. “Sweetheart, can I talk to you?” I stood up warily and walked over to the doorway. She was crying and she sobbed, “I have to go see the gods, NOW!” She put something on and left without a good-bye kiss or hug.

“So what exactly was that, mom?” Calista asked with curiosity. Artemis frowned and got glassy-eyed. “Well…. It was…”

After I left Endymion to go to the gods, I tingled to find out what the gods wanted. After all, it’s not often and it’s usually a good thing if the gods call you down. But what’s the deal with the moon on my head? When I got to the top of Cateye’s Mountain, where the gods and goddesses preside, it was thundering. “Uh, oh. Who got them mad now?” I walked up, taking in the rain and how pleasantly warm it was that night. When I knocked at the door, Rincho, one of the helpers, stared me down and said, “The gods are waiting for you, mischief-maker.” He gave me a mean glare and let me in those great doors into an angry environment.
Once I was in, the great halls were shushed. My heart started to pound like it had never pounded before. The head god, Osidious, bellowed, “Moon princess, what have your history teachers teach you? What have your parents taught you?” I widened my eyes and guessed, “Listen in class?” I shrugged. “NO! Not to make love with an Earth child! You have disgraced the Moon and made it the laughingstock of the Solar System. You are banished to the deep craters of Intyrk, never to be seen again, or….” I shook and asked, “Or what, your greatness?”
“Or,” he growled, “you’ll marry my son, Eisdueh, who is known for beating women.” I had no choice. I chose to marry Eisdeuh. I ran out of the hall and ran down the mountains, rain and tears mixing on my face.

Artemis was crying when she had said that. Calista had her arms around her mother. “You gave up Endymion and living in craters for a wife-beater? I’m shocked.” The dragon said, “Yes, I was too when she came back.”

She ran into my arms, all wet from the rain. She was sobbing as she told me of her choices. I was then summoned to go to the gods, except I was to be turned into a dragon, hunted for my skin when she died. Long years of pain and crying had passed since I had seen her. I wasn’t even allowed to see or speak to her. So I lived in anxiety until my messenger friend came to me with news that Serena had committed suicide. I was turned into a dragon 6 years after we were supposed to have our wedding.

“That’s not fair, dragon. So not fair. How do we turn you two back into humans?” Calista asked. “ I don’t know if that’s possible. We have to find the gods’ mountain to see if that is true,” the dragon explained. So the three traveled around the moon to find the mountain. When they had
found it, they traveled up the mountain to get into the halls.
They knocked at the door, and a puny voice commanded, “State your name and business here before the gods.” “I am Princess Calista of England, and I am here to inquire on how to get my mother and her old love back to the way they were.” He looked at the dragon and opened the door, saying to Artemis, “The gods are waiting, mischief-maker.” She looked at him weirdly and proceeded.

Osidious was waiting for them up at his throne. He looked like a ghost to Calista. She started to tremble, but the dragon whispered, “Don’t tremble, he’ll think you aren’t a moon citizen.” She then stood tall and talked to the god. Artemis put her hand on the dragon’s neck and looked at him with the same look she had given him that time they last saw each other, worry that she’ll leave him without a good-bye again. Calista kept talking while the two listened. The god finally accepted and changed Artemis and the dragon back into Serena and Endymion. They looked at themselves and then hugged and cried. Calista looked on with bright eyes and joy that her mother was finally happy. “Time to go back,” Endymion said. He took out his lightsaber and said to Calista, “I’m also a Jedi Knight.”

It was about time for Artemis’ execution. The guillotine was sharpened and was all ready to go. Serena, Calista and Endymion sneaked back into the castle to find the king. Serena went into the king’s bedroom. She wasn’t wearing much because she was seducing the king. She looked completely different from Artemis. She went in and said, “Hello, King Ian. I’m your prostitute for tonight.” His eyes popped out and said, “Yes, come in.” She signaled Endymion to wait until it was time. She started to dance and the king was getting excited. “My wife is about to be executed. Thank the lord for you. You’re much prettier than she was.” She smiled and used the Force to get her lightsaber, because, she was too a Jedi, behind her back. “Are you sure you want to say that?” she asked. She grinned with a snare and turned her lightsaber on. “’Cause I wouldn’t!” And she chopped off the king’s head. She twirled her lightsaber around and turned it off. Calista looked on with amazement. Endymion and Calista ran in and looked down at the king, shaking their head. They ran out and called off the execution, saying the king was abusing Artemis and that he was dead. She said that she was the future Moon queen and that Calista was Serena and Endymion’s daughter. The crowd cheered and the couple kissed in front of the kingdom. They ruled the kingdom, along with the Moon Kingdom, to be the most popular and beloved monarchy. And yes, Calista stopped abusing the dragons and took them in.
